How Financial Ruin is Good, Actually
We all know the classic fable of Icarus, a historical ancient Greek figure who was trapped on an island with his father Daedalus. This was very terrible because this was antient Greece and the hotel resort had ran out of white rum, which wouldn't be delivered again until Wednesday. No more pina coladas! As an ancient icon of innovation and picking yourself up by the bootstraps, Daedalus screwed the haters by thinking outside of the box and choosing his own path. After some intense visualization sessions, Daedalus manifested him and his son some wings made from feathers, wax and girl boss power. After trying on their wings and taking photos for that perfect Instagram moment, they choose the path to freedom by flying off the island.
Now, like a true American, there was nothing that Icarus loved more than freedom. Being able to literally fly in the sky was the fourth best freedom Icarus had ever felt after financial freedom, time freedom and the freedom to bear arms, the most important freedoms. Icarus knew how to live in the moment, as long as it was being documented for his followers, but his father warned him not to fly too close to the sun, as it will melt the wax of the wings and he will fall into the sea.
But Icarus was too busy getting that perfect shot to listen to his father's negative vibes. 'I need to get one more shot,' he thought as he edged farther and farther to the hot glow of the sun.
"No! Icarus! Don't fly too close to the sun!"
His father's cries were in vain. Next thing Icarus knew, he was plummeting towards the sea, covered in the melted wax and feathers of what was once his wings. His final cries before he hit the water were "I want a refund!"
Icarus died instantly. His soul went to Heaven, where he would spend eternity partying with Jesus with all the pina coladas he could want! This was the ultimate freedom and Icarus had manifested it all!
This story reflects the current happenings of another well known influencer who recently boss babed too close to the sun, Bethany Yawn. Yawn, a good God-fearing Christian, is currently being sued for allegedly "scamming" her followers because she just boss babed too much. Now you may think this is actually negative vibes, but it was recently revealed through discovery that she made over a million dollars from her grift. What a boss babe move!
There is only one natural conclusion from this case: God has blessed Bethany Yawn by giving her financial freedom because she had the faith that she deserved it. This is the level of faith it takes to make it, to risk being sued by the state, to risk complete financial ruin and still think you're going to win because you have Jesus. That is pure success mindset! I have never seen a success mindset so powerful, so praiseworthy and so awe inspiring. We could all learn a lesson from Yawn's power to manifest. It's almost God-like, and it is!
I have spent half-an-hour daily for the last two weeks worshiping my vision board, so I can manifest even half as good as she does. So what is the most important lesson here? The answer can be summed up in one word: courage! Taking that leap of faith, that risk that it could all go horribly, horribly wrong takes courage! We all know that the ultimate risk to financial freedom is financial ruin, but let's try and frame financial ruin in a different light because it is shaded in so much negativity.
When we think of financial ruin, we tend to think of house foreclosures, bankruptcy, repossession and poverty. These sound like scary things, and they are, but one thing you have to understand is that these things are part of the process to achieving financial freedom. You're not losing your car, you're simply lending it back to the dealership permanently. These are the short-term sacrifices we have to make for long-term gain and the unfortunate truth is that some people just don't have the courage to get out of their comfort zones and make these sacrifices.
Financial ruin is often the point where many network marketers do the unthinkable, commit the ultimate sin: quit! During the period where you absolutely need the business the most, perhaps when the business is all you have left in the whole world, you can't quit! You should never quit. Remember, financial ruin is not losing because the only way to lose is quit. It is impossible to lose any other way. This is why it's vital to use your inner courage. Find that courage deep within you to just keep going one more day, because perseverance through the darkest times will lead us to rewards of wealth and abundance. This is an absolute fact and how we have managed to eradicate poverty in over 27 countries! Just don't fact check it because you must not question what I say.
You yourself may be taking steps towards financial ruin without even realizing it because your focus was on building your network marketing empire. Who in network marketing hasn't maxed out their credit card? Have you taken out a loan or another credit card to grow the business? Perhaps you go just a little over budget every single month to hit those quotas? Maybe you over-spend so you can manifest a life of abundance? Maybe you buy product from your upline so they can rank up? These are all examples of how financial ruin happens, and it happens frequently, in network marketing. Remember, every single one of these things is a step towards the ultimate goal of financial freedom.
Remember you've just gotta keep manifesting. What matters in the end is not necessarily how much work you put into your business, but how strong your faith is in the system. If any negativity gets in your way, or any doubts come into your head, then the whole thing could come crashing down and you quit and you lose the game. This is why Yawn is so admirable because her faith is so strong that she will win her current lawsuit beyond a shadow of a doubt, despite the strong evidence against her. This level of delusion in her own success and ability to manifest will ultimately prevail over every obstacle that the Enemy™ puts before her. She can manifest all the negativity away. That is the power of mindset!
When we think back to the story of Icarus, the ultimate lesson is that every single high risk you take will be rewarded. Taking risk does not mean you will lose, it means you are showing courage and practicing your faith at the highest level. It's not a matter of believing, but knowing that when you take that step outside of your comfort zone, potentially risking everything, you will achieve every single goal you set and beyond. It's almost like there is nothing to fear in the first place. Faith conquers fear, it replaces it. Faith is the enemy of fear. Courage is what it takes to reach that faith.
Perhaps you need some words of empowerment to overcome that fear right now. Perhaps negative vibes are discouraging you from taking out another credit card. Haters are telling you be "realistic" with your goals by holding you back from achieving them. Your family might be "concerned" about your financial wellbeing right now. Is your husband threatening divorce?
So whenever these moments come, and they will come, think about your why, you know, the word that's now a noun. Focus deeply on your why, the reason why you said "yes" to this business in the first place. Search inside yourself because it took a lot of courage that day to say "yes." Network marketing has a bad rep because of it's pyramid structure, so you knew that saying "yes" meant using the faith in your heart and not the logic in your head. You had and still have the courage within you. Remember that why and remember that why when facing financial ruin.
Remember Icarus and his rewards in Heaven for taking the ultimate risk. Remember Bethany Yawn who has the whole world stacked against her and yet she will still win. Remember that financial ruin is only a part of this journey. A life of abundance is always coming. You just need to have the faith and patience a little longer, perhaps a little longer than others.
If anything, losing everything except the business itself should reinforce and strengthen your faith even more, thereby manifesting financial freedom even faster than you would have before you lost it all. Sometimes it's all just a part of the process, which you must blindly trust at all times. No questions.
So babes, may you be blessed in these times of complete and utter financial ruin. Just keep manifesting.
